Despite the fact that the training courses in 2019 are showing no signs of slowing down, our attention has already shifted to 2020 in terms of course dates, new courses and of course the exciting news that we will have set up a new centre.

Here is brief overview about what is new for 2020:

NEW TRAINING CENTRE;

We are very excited to be operating out of Kip Marina. Initially we will be running Motor and Powerboat Courses in 2020 and it is hoped to form a 3 way partnership with Britsail and Ocean Sailing Scotland to form effectively a centre of excellence in Kip which will include every motor, powerboat, sail, shorebased, bespoke and speciality course. There will be more on this over the winter as the finer details have been worked out.

POWER AND MOTOR TASTER DAYS:

After discussions with Kip Marina management, we are excited to launch our new Taster Days for Motor & Power. These are a perfect opportunity to come and try helming a motor boat and powerboat under the guidance of one of our experienced instructors. These days are heavily discounted on the normal price and also include a light lunch at the chart-room in Inverkip. The dates will be released over the winter and are scheduled to run in April, May, June & July.

SPECIALITY COURSES:

We have been working hard behind the scenes to develop a range of speciality courses to compliment the RYA courses we teach. These include theory subjects such as passage planning and meteorology and practical subjects including Radar & Electronic Nav, Motor Boat handling, Handling a yacht under power in a marina and more. We are constantly developing new courses so if you have any particular courses you would like us to start running then please do let us know.

NEW MOTOR BOAT:

Orca, an Albin 28 joined our fleet of boats mid way through this year after an extensive refit. She has a single inboard diesel with bow thruster and will be used for charter and also to compliment our motor boat courses. She will also play a big role in our motor courses with boat boats being used for the courses at Kip and Rhu.
