Fife Regatta, Largs – Special Trip

A one day trip to get up close to the final race of the 2022 Fife Regatta,  expected to be “The largest ever gathering of Fife yachts in the world”. Do follow the link for wonderful photos of these classic boats.The largest of the yachts is 125ft in length with a bowsprit of 30ft, along with six yachts between 80ft and 105ft, so an impressive spectacle to behold.

Your boat will leave Rhu at 08.15, with a possible pick up at Inverkip at 9.20, then on to Largs, arriving just as the race starts at 10.30am. Approx. 2pm departure, arriving in Kip at 3pm and Rhu at 4pm.

Boat Trip to Holy Loch Marina with time ashore, 3 hours

This trip takes you westwards past Kilcreggan to the sheltered waters of the beautiful Holy Loch, which was used as an American base from 1961-1992. You will have about an hour ashore to visit the marina cafe, go for a walk, or just sit on the benches next to the marina office and watch all the boat activity £45/£40/£30

Helensburgh Shoreline & The Sugar Boat, 1 hour

On this fascinating boat trip, you will motor along from Rhu Marina to Helensburgh Pier, viewing the town from a whole new perspective, and then circle round the Sugar Boat, hearing about the history of this iconic feature. £25/£20/£15,

Faslane from the Sea, 1 hour

This boat trip offers a rare opportunity to view Faslane & the Rosneath Peninsula from the water as you travel up the Gareloch, giving a different and unaccustomed viewpoint. Spot and identify the various naval vessels you may see on your journey.  PLEASE NOTE: Naval manoeuvres may occasionally mean that this boat trip becomes a ‘Helensburgh Shoreline and the Sugar Boat’ trip at very short notice. £25/20/15

Sugar Boat via the Port Glasgow Shipyards, 2 hours

On this boat trip, you will get a unique riverside view of Greenock, Greenock Ocean Terminal, Port Glasgow and the two partially finished CalMac ferries. This trip enters the Upper Clyde at Greenock Ocean Terminal and heads past James Watt Dock and Port Glasgow to the now infamous Ferguson Marine shipyard before returning to Rhu via the Sugar Boat wreck on the way home. £40/£35/£25
