Covid Update: 7th January 2021

Our office is open and we can be contact by email and phone. During this lockdown we will be running a very reduced number of courses which will be limited to key workers and commercial workers who require training courses for work/employment purposes. We will also be running a number of virtual courses so please check this page and our social media for updates.

Visiting the office.

Please wear a mask when visiting the office and use the hand sanitiser station which is located just outside the office door. If you are uneasy about coming into the building due to social distancing then our instructors are more than welcome to discuss courses on the decking area outside (weather dependant of course!). We can also arrange a virtual meeting as well to discuss courses or training programs.

Shorebased courses

We are only running classroom courses for key workers and commercial workers who require training courses for work/employment purposes. There are a few options of how to complete the Day Skipper and Yachtmaster theory courses which doesn’t require classroom training so please contact us to discuss the options.

We currently cant run Sea Survival training due to the lockdown and the swimming pools being shut.

Motorboat courses.

Under current guidance, we can form a bubble for any part of the course that we can conduct from the flybridge on Millbrook however facemasks are still very strongly recommended along with regular hand sanitising. The field of play bubble doesn’t apply to being inside or if any student is from a restricted area.

All our courses will return to Rhu Marina every night and will be non-residential. Please contact the office for any questions on the accommodation.

You will be issued with a lifejacket and wet weather gear (if required) for the duration of the course. Please make sure you dont another item of gear.

Your instructor will brief you on the first morning all on all protocols the school has put in place to keep you as safe as possible during your course.
