RYA Day Skipper Theory (webinar)
This course is a comprehensive introduction to chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship. You will find this course invaluable if you want to learn to start making decisions onboard in terms of safety, passage making, etc.
It is taught in a different way to the conventional classroom courses as it will be taught using live webinar software. Due to the nature of webinar training, we have extended the course and shortened the hours each day. The software we use allows full student interaction
We will send the RYA Student pack containing the practice charts and exercise questions, you will need access to the internet either on a computer/laptop or a tablet. We dont recommend using a phone due to the small screen size as you wont get the full benefit of the online training.
You will need to have your own plotter and dividers to take part in the courses. If you don’t have them please let us know.
Once the face to face restrictions are lifted, we will organise a suitable date/time to come into our classroom in Rhu and complete both assessments.
Each day will be split into 4 sections with decent size breaks and lunchtime. There will be regular opportunities for questions and going back over subjects.
