Joining Instructions - IMO Train the Trainer

Timing

  • 09:15-17:00.

Location

Parking

  • Free parking outside our training centre in the marina. If the training centre is busy, please park in the main carpark to the left of our office.

Assessment‍ ‍

  • There is no formal assessment on the course; however, there is an ongoing assessment throughout the course by the course trainer. There will be exercises, short presentations and discussions to participate in and candidates will be expected to deliver a minimum of 2 short 30-minute lessons from the courses that they will be going onto teach. These will be allocated on day 1 of the course.

Certificate

  • You will be issued the IMO Train the Trainer course certificate on successful completion of this course.

What’s Included

  • Course notes, notepad and pen, tea, coffee and snacks.

What’s not included

  • Lunch

What to bring

  • Please bring a laptop with PowerPoint (or Apple equivalent) installed.

  • We have very well stocked classrooms with a lot of equipment for use, but if you have your own teaching aids, please do bring them.

Food

  • Tea, coffee and snacks are included, but meals are not. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or there is a shop nearby with takeaway rolls etc. Cafe Rhu in the Marina is open Wednesday - Sunday.
