Joining Instructions - MCA Small Ships Radar

Certificates

  • You will be issued with a MCA Small Ships Radar Certificate on successful completion of the course and assessment

Assessment

  • There is no formal assessment. It is an ongoing assessment with lots of practical exercises throughout the 2 days.

What to Bring

  • Identification, such as a driving licence or a passport. Discharge book. You will be supplied with a notepad and a pen.

Accommodation

  • Accommodation is not provided, but there are several hotels and B&Bs in the near vicinity

Food

  • Tea, coffee and snacks are included, but meals are not. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or there is a shop nearby with takeaway rolls etc. Cafe Rhu in the Marina is open Wednesday - Sunday.
