RYA Navigation Instructor

The aim of the Navigation Instructor course is to equip you to instruct the following RYA Navigation courses:
Essential Navigation & Seamanship, Day Skipper and Watch Leader Shorebased, Coastal Skipper Theory and Yachtmaster Offshore Theory
The subject knowledge, interpersonal skills, and teaching ability that you bring to the classroom session will be assessed and refined with the above courses in mind. Your understanding of each syllabus, the structure of these courses, and the level at which they should be taught will be developed during this course. The RYA requires a minimum of 3 bookings for this course to run.

RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence or RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor
RYA Teaching in the Classroom
Successful completion of Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased course. If the course was not completed recently it is important that candidates refresh their knowledge of the whole syllabus.
