Joining Instructions - RYA Sea Survival

Timing

  • 09:15-17:00

Assessment

  • There will be an assessment at the end of the course

Certificate

  • You will be issued the RYA Sea Survival Certificate on successful completion of the course. This certificate is valid for 3 years.

Equipment

  • A course book, notebook and pen will be given to you on arrival. If you wish to bring along your own lifejacket and wet weather gear you are welcome to do so, but make sure they are clean. If you don’t have these items we have gear that can be used.

  • Please bring a towel, change of clothes, and swimming trunks/costume because part of this course takes place in a swimming pool. You may be asked to enter the pool in clothes so please bring clothing you are happy to enter the water wearing.

Food

  • Tea, coffee and snacks are included, but meals are not. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or there is a shop nearby with takeaway rolls etc. Cafe Rhu in the Marina is open Wednesday - Sunday.
