The aim of the training is to give all persons intending to go to sea a basic knowledge of the immediate action to be taken upon encountering an accident or other medical emergency aboard ship.
This training is designed to provide the essential knowledge and practical skills required for seafarers pursuing their Chief Mate’s Certificate of Competence, as well as for those designated to take charge of medical care onboard, in accordance with Regulation VI/4 of the STCW Convention.

Minimum age 16
Delegates must hold a valid certificate in STCW Medical First Aid.
ID must be presented on the day of the course. Acceptable forms include a valid passport, driving licence, or discharge book.
